Last week the latest graduates of the College of Policing Strategic Command Course (SCC) finished the challenging strategic leaders course.
Due to the challenges of delivering this vital course during a pandemic, we have been supporting the College team to ensure that throughout the course candidates and speakers were able to use the Microsoft 365 suite, which has been rolled out across UK Policing, to full participate even if they had to isolate.
The course attracts delegates from across the world, so from the start of the course in October, some members of the course were joining via Teams due to travel quarantine restrictions. During the past weeks colleagues from the NEP helped set up sessions, manage virtual breakout rooms so delegates could work through exercises and enable senior leaders and keynote speakers share knowledge and challenge the delegates to get the most out of the opportunities the course offers. Out team helped the delegates and the College of Policing team build their confidence and skills in using the modern workplace tools now available across forces.
Last week the final graduation ceremony (17 December) was conducted virtually as colleagues, and those involved in the SCC took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
